The Bucher Academy offers theoretical and practical training for plant managers, service/maintenance managers, operators of your machines and equipment, and maintenance personnel. Benefit from specific training on products or processes.

Our specialists have many years of experience and are happy to pass on their knowledge to your colleagues. 
We offer specialised training for our entire product range, from mills to evaporators. 

We cover the following basic training for each machine:

  • Machine Operation

  • Maintenance troubleshooting
  • Electrical troubleshooting 

Our process knowledge focuses on the following processes: 

  • Milling, mash preparation and enzymation

  • Laboratory: flavour analysis, quality control

We also offer process training for our dewatering customers.

What training programmes does Bucher Academy offer to customer's employees?

We offer a wide range of training courses. These consist of a theoretical and a practical part.

Individual training courses can be chosen from the training programme or combined. We tailor the training to the needs of our customers.

We have developed 4-5 main training courses for each of our machines or systems, which contain and impart the most important knowledge. In principle, the customer can even design his own training. He can let us know what training he has in mind, and we will prepare an offer for him.

What topics are covered in the training for operating and maintaining the machines and systems?

This depends on the machine/system. In general, it covers the operation of the machine, basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting.

How often do training courses take place for customer's employees?

We provide training at the request of our customers. In the future there will be fixed dates each year for each course. There is no regulation for this. The customers contact us when they need training. We create the training and schedule it for them.

Who is responsible for conducting the training?

We engage internal specialists in the required area in which the customer wishes to be trained.

The Academy team is responsible for both the planning and delivery. During the training, the trainer is the direct point of contact.

Are there training courses specially tailored to the needs and requirements of customers?

The basic principle of the Bucher Academy is to tailor the training for the customer.

We have developed a training catalogue and can integrate customer requirements into the individual modules.
Of course, we can also develop and deliver further customer-specific training.

Are on-site or online training courses offered?

Both are possible. Depending on the type of training, it may be necessary to go on site. This is particularly the case if the training involves in-depth practical work. Otherwise, both options are open to the customer.

We offer training at the customer's premises, at our Niederweningen facility or online. However, depending on the nature of the training, it may be preferable to conduct it at the customer's premises on their machines and systems.

Are there training materials or resources that customer's employees can use?

Training materials will be provided to participants and handed out at the end of the training. If additional resources are required, the client is welcome to request them from us before or after the training. 

Does your company offer training in different languages?

We currently offer training in English and German. Individual training courses can be conducted in other languages by prior arrangement.

How do you ensure that customer's employees can optimally operate and maintain the machines and systems after the training?

During the training, there will be a theoretical and a practical part so that the knowledge can be better absorbed and processed. At the end of the training, there will be sufficient time for a question-and-answer session to clarify any open questions or ambiguities. Whether there will be a final test to check the knowledge acquired is still to be determined. Participants will also be given all the documents they need for their further work. If there are any further questions, our support team will be happy to help.
