Bucher Municipal shuts down IT infrastructure

Bucher Industries’ monitoring systems identified an attack by malware on the IT infrastructure of the division Bucher Municipal. To avert possible damage, the company immediately initiated the necessary security measures.  

Our monitoring systems reported activities indicating the preparation of an attack by an external threat. The company shut down the IT infrastructure of the division Bucher Municipal in a secured manner immediately after detecting the activities and stopped production as a precaution.  

This affected the Bucher Municipal sites worldwide as well as the Bucher Specials sites in Switzerland. With the help of external experts, the IT infrastructure underwent an in-depth investigation and was restarted as soon as possible.
